Hey.

I'm Andrew.

Thanks for dropping by.

So, who's this guy?

Great question random stranger. I'm Andrew Pagan. A random 30 year old living in the San Francisco Bay Area who definitely wrote some code to automatically update my birthday (since honestly, I won't come back to manually update it). I have a wonderful wife, a cat that kind of looks like a Soot Sprite from a Studio Ghibli movie, and enough skill to beat you in DDR (I think). I really enjoy personal finance, coffee, and going to music events with the people I love.

Coding wasn't something I was even aware of until maybe my Senior year of high school. I remember tinkering with my Myspace code, and my friend in my class making games for the iPhone under his dad's name, but it wasn't ever something I looked at as a possible lifelong career. When I was applying for college, I had no idea what major to choose. I knew at that time I loved math and playing on my computer, so I just picked this thing called "Computer Engineering". It was an honest mistake, and when I stepped into my first ever computer science class my freshmen year, I realized how far behind I was compared to my peers that has AP Computer Science classes or have been doing it for fun for years. Although it was probably a mistake choosing Computer Engineering as my major, it is the best mistake I've ever made.

I wrote an entire section here, but decided to delete it. If you want to know more about my life and career journey, hit me up. II'm an open book.
